Nothing complements a nice home like a great sound system. Sound is output via speakers to try and reproduce the original as performed live, or a Blockbuster Movie as orchestrated by the movie director. Movies just come to life on your TV simply with the addition of a great performing Sound System. Feeling totally immersed by the blockbuster sound of the movie makes you feel as if "you are really there". There are a couple of ways to achieve this.

Speakers are driven by various types of sound system components but regardless of this, they are most affected by placement and correct setup.

The following is a list in approximate order of increasing effectiveness of systems that drive or contain their own inbuilt speakers:

TV speakers
Simple single room stereo
Sound bar with subwoofer
SONOS music system (Yamaha Music Cast, Samsung Music System)
Single room 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound Home Theatre System
5.1 with wireless rear speakers Home Theatre System
7.2 or 9.2 Dolby Atmos Home Cinema System
Extra zones outside the main room running ceiling or bracket mounted speakers e.g. patio, bedroom, kitchen, family, living room

Each has pros and cons with price to performance factors. However, a modest yet quite good sounding system can be had and installed if you get the correct advice First.
